West Ham United to react to £17m Jakub Kiwior Napoli development
Jakub Kiwior has been a long-term target for West Ham United – and the Hammers could well face some “serious” competition for the Poland international.
Calciomercato report (6 December) that Napoli will put the “foot on the accelerator” for the 22-year-old, with his current club Spezia wanting £17million after his performances at the World Cup in Qatar.
It’s believed Napoli are a “serious” contender to sign the Poland international in January, however, they do expect competition for his signature.

That competition could well come from West Ham with Milan Live (29 November) suggesting the Irons have already made a £13million bid for the defender. A move for Kiwior would not come as a surprise, with David Moyes potentially prioritising a central defender in the January window.
Kurt Zouma is out for the foreseeable future after undergoing knee surgery and Craig Dawson faces an uncertain future with the 32-year-old looking to move back up north to be closer to his family.

After Nayef Aguerd and Thilo Kehrer, the Hammers do look a little bit light defensively, and therefore the Scot should be looking to land Kiwior. However, it could be a tough task with the defender potentially settled in Italy.
He knows the Serie A and moving to Napoli would also be a step up in his career. There’s the prospect of playing in the Premier League, but the Irons aren’t a particularly attractive proposition at the moment.
This is a move the Hammers should be looking at but it could well prove slightly too difficult to pull off in January.
