West Ham United to continue talks for Jesse Lingard this week – ExWHUemployee

West Ham United are set to continue talks with Jesse Lingard this week, according to ExWHUemployee.

The reliable source has shared that someone at the Irons believe they still stand a strong chance of signing the England international as the race continues.

Everton are said to be in the race, although sources close to Lingard have shared that nothing is decided yet with pre-season well and truly underway now.

Writing on the West Ham Way Patreon page, Ex updated an earlier post as the Lingard saga continues to drag on with numerous clubs in the race.

“We spoke to someone in the club who felt that we still have a strong chance of getting Lingard,” he wrote. “Talks are said to continue this week. We will update you on how they go.

“We have since spoke to people close to Lingard who still feel that nothing is decided yet.”

Decision.

We need to get an answer sooner rather than later.

Lingard clearly isn’t set on any move yet, or he would have made his decision by now and that is starting to make us double-take on him coming back to the London Stadium.

David Moyes will also surely get infuriated soon as he doesn’t like to be messed around by players, especially those who aren’t even in the squad yet.

Making demands of £150,000-a-week won’t help either, and talks this week may be centred around those being lowered, something that the player may need this time for.

Everton are known for throwing money at players, which is why they’re in the mess they are in right now, but things are different at West Ham United.

With talks set to take place over the next five days, we could see a decision early next week and our European exploits surely keep us above the relegation-threatened Everton.
