West Ham United to be without Craig Dawson for two more games
West Ham United will be without central defender Craig Dawson for the next two matches as injury keeps him sidelined, according to Claret and Hugh.
The 32-year-old was an ever-present for the Irons last season as the rest of the defensive unit crumbled around him with various injuries but now it is he who has to watch on from the stands.
A move up north to be closer to his family fell through on deadline day but on the pitch, he has been unable to train properly for some time and games against Steaua Bucharest and Newcastle will not see him feature.

He is also a doubt for the second Europa Conference League group game against Silkeborg but there is cover available for David Moyes in the shape of Thilo Kehrer and Kurt Zouma.
The former has not had a great start to life at the London Stadium having given away a penalty and scored an own goal in his short West Ham career so far.
Too long
It has been far too long since Dawson has been playing in the famous claret and blue and Kehrer’s very apprehensive start to life in London will not have filled Moyes with much confidence.

Dawson has always been the calm within the storm for West Ham and his absence has been badly felt at the start of this season and is a big reason why the Hammers are closer to the bottom than the top of the table.
Without his wise head to marshal the back four, things very quickly go to pot because Zouma can’t command a unit in the same way and Nayef Aguerd is still untried having been suffering with an injury of his own.
Dawson has to return to the side as soon as he is able to because the season could very well get away from the Irons and they will be able to do nothing but wait it out until next season.
