West Ham United team news v Liverpool: David Moyes shares Jarrod Bowen update
David Moyes has revealed Jarrod Bowen is expected to be fit to return for West Ham United when they face Liverpool on Saturday 27 April.
The Hammers were without their star winger as they fell to a crushing 5-2 defeat to Crystal Palace last time out, but the England international is back in training and should return.
However, the manager also confirmed during his pre-match press conference (26 April) that Nayef Aguerd won’t be fit to play, while Dinos Mavropanos is a doubt after injuries of his own.
“Jarrod Bowen is back training so there’s a good chance he’ll be available,” he said. “We’ll still need to monitor him.
“We have a couple of issues with centre-halves. Nayef [Aguerd] is not available. Dinos [Mavropanos] has a chance, but we’ll have to see how he is.”
West Ham United playing for pride?
There seems to be a suggestion from the fan base that West Ham are currently just playing for pride to end the season, but there is still a European football spot up for grabs.
The way it stands whoever finishes in seventh place will earn a spot in the Europa Conference League, the trophy the Hammers won last season, and while Newcastle have a game in hand currently there are only two points between the sides.
There is still plenty of football to play, and West Ham know that a win over Liverpool in this game would be a huge boost to their chances for next season, even if Moyes is leaving the club.

Injuries are a part of the game, and Moyes will need to make a decision after the poor performance against Crystal Palace last week on how to approach the game and avoid that happening again.
But overall the injury news is positive for the team going into the game and fans should be excited about the game, knowing their support can make all the difference to the performance and potentially getting European nights again next season.
