West Ham target Kortney Hause fits in wage structure, talks at primary stage - ExWHUemployee
West Ham United are targeting a move for Aston Villa defender Kortney Hause this month, according to ExWHUemployee.
The reliable source has reported that the former Iron fits in the wage structure at the London Stadium, and is only on a maximum of £10,000-a-week.
ExWHUemployee has shared that all talks with any targets for the Hammers are at a “primary stage.”
Writing on the West Ham Way Patreon page, Ex delivered an insight into Hause and where he could fit in at the London Stadium.
“I wanted to speak about Kortney Hause of Aston Villa,” he wrote.
“Hause, who is 26, was on the bench for Villa in their cup defeat at Manchester United in the week has featured very few times under new manager Gerrard. Despite this Aston Villa have reportedly offered him the option of a new contract to keep him at the club. Kortney is only said to be on about 8k-10k a week wages so would be within our wage structure.
“Hause is said to be one of a number of centre backs targets, some of the others I will cover on my next section and talks are only at the primary stage.”
If a cheap deal can be stored out, this would be perfect for the Irons.
Kurt Zouma is on the way back from injury, with Craig Dawson and Issa Diop manning the fort in his absence.
Having said that, Angelo Ogbonna is still out for the rest of the season and with three competitions altogether to play in, another defender would be brilliant.
Hause knows what it will mean to be West Ham, and given his cheap wages, he will tick the boxes for the owners too.
Now it is down to David Moyes to decide whether he wants this deal or not, and then getting it over the line.
