West Ham United target Ismaila Sarr will be sold for right price, Emmanuel Dennis also wanted

Watford bosses have told manager Rob Edwards Ismaila Sarr will be sold for the right price as West Ham eye a double-swoop, talkSPORT reports.

The Hammers want both the Senegalese winger and his Hornets teammate Emmanuel Dennis, and are considering a move for the two at once.

Both could be available after their team were relegated from the Premier League in 2021/22 despite Edwards viewing Sarr as the man to build his side around in the Championship.

Nigerian striker Dennis wants to leave and is an alternative should the deals for Armando Broja and Gianluca Scamacca not pan out.

But hopes have been boosted on winger Sarr, as talkSPORT’s Alex Crook writes in his transfer notebook: “Watford’s new manager Rob Edwards is hoping to keep Sarr – also 24 – and build the Hertfordshire side’s quest for a Premier League return around him.

“But Edwards has been told by the Watford hierarchy that he will be sold if a suitable offer comes in for the Senegal international.”

Value

It is unlikely that the attacking pair, both 24, will be available for a completely bargain-basement price, but having dropped out of the top flight they should be at least reduced.

If the headline pursuits of Broja and Scamacca go the way of the Jesse Lingard chase it would certainly soften the blow if the Irons were able to complete a double-deal for the Watford duo.

The pair produced 15 Premier League goals last season in a poor Hornets side and both are established internationals.

West Ham

Although the club are offering big money for various targets this summer, good value deals are always attractive to manager David Moyes.

With a thin squad coming off of an impressive campaign numbers are needed, and even if Dennis and Sarr weren’t slated to be automatic starters they would be beneficial additions at the right price as both have top flight experience.

Missing out on Lingard will have been a blow to the manager, and his top two striker targets are also proving difficult to land.

But it appears there are a few targets that are comparatively going under the radar who could prove to be smart moves for West Ham even if the big deals don’t get done.
