West Ham United target Dan-Axel Zagadou eyes ‘huge deal’
West Ham are interested in signing Dan-Axel Zagadou in the summer transfer window, and the French defender is eyeing a “huge deal”, as per Alan Nixon.
Writing on his Patreon, The Sun journalist (21 August) reported that the 23-year-old, who is a free agent, has been on the hunt for a new club since leaving Borussia Dortmund.
He has suffered from injury problems, and West Ham want to secure a deal for him based on good money plus bonuses for appearances.

Unlikely
West Ham need to sort out their other priorities at the moment, and adding another centre-back is not their primary headache right now.
The Hammers have signed Thilo Kehrer and Nayef Aguerd this summer, plus they have the likes of Angelo Ogbonna, Kurt Zouma and Craig Dawson in the side as well.
Of course, Ogbonna will leave the club next season, and adding a young defender on a free transfer makes sense.
However, right now, the Hammers should look to bolster their midfield and forward areas.

Zagadou is a talented young player who started his youth career with Paris Saint-Germain. He then moved to Borussia Dortmund where he made 92 appearances for the club.
In 2021-22, he made 19 appearances for the German side in all competitions. However, he was released by the club following the expiry of his contract.
The Hammers can sign him after the window as well if he is still available. So, they do have lots of time to get this deal done if they are willing at all.
