West Ham United submit £16m bid to complete Ibrahim Osman transfer, Nordsjaelland response detailed
West Ham have seen their offer of £16million rejected by Nordsjaelland in the quest to sign Ibrahim Osman before the transfer window closes, according to The Irish Sun.
The newspaper reported via its website [28 January] that the Danish side are holding out for a deal worth £18million, with bonuses and a sell-on clause included.
It is understood that Premier League rivals Brentford and Brighton are also interested in the 19-year-old winger, who came through the same academy as Mohammed Kudus.
Weighing up pros and cons
The Ghanaian attacker is capable of playing anywhere across the front line, which would make him the perfect fit for David Moyes’ squad, interlocking with Kudus, Jarrod Bowen and Lucas Paqueta.
Osman is an extremely raw talent but is definitely one that could repay the risk taken if the Hammers decide to spend £18million on him.
The youngster made his senior debut for Nordsjaelland in February 2023, making 39 appearances since and registering four goals and five assists. His ability to switch positions during a match makes him an ideal replacement for Said Benrahma or Pablo Fornals, should they depart London Stadium this month.

If West Ham want to secure his signature this month, they must act quickly before Brentford or Brighton take action ahead of the transfer window closing. Both are well known for developing youngsters but the current Europa Conference League champions could persuade the youngster.
With a debut in the Europa Conference League already, his inexperience at such a young age should not come as too much of a worry to Hammers fans, scoring in a 7-1 victory over Ludogorets Razgrad in the competition.
In other West Ham news, the club have made a last-gasp £15.5million bid.
