West Ham United still want Youssef En-Nesyri despite reported rejected bid
Daily Star journalist Paul Brown has insisted that Youssef En-Nesyri is still a West Ham United target ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.
David Moyes will be keen to find more competition for Michail Antonio who single handily lead the Irons’ line during the 2021/22 season.
Despite having a bid rejected in the past, Brown is adamant that the east London outfit is still in for the Morocco international but admitted that his form might be a concern.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “I’m pretty sure he’s still on their radar. They had quite a big bid turned down for him at one point when it looked like he was their most likely option that window.
“Since then, his forms gone off a cliff a little bit. He hasn’t had a great season, and it would be a surprise if West Ham were to make a big bid for him now.”

The Hammers must be very keen on the attacker given how long they have been interested in him.
He is undoubtedly a top player having been one of Sevilla’s biggest threats over the last couple of seasons but have the Irons missed the boat with this one?

En-Nesyri is certainly not in the form he was when his move to the London Stadium was first mooted but that doesn’t mean it can’t return.
Seven goals in 23 La Liga appearances is far from an awful record and benefitting from a new team and challenge could help him rediscover his spark.
A lot of West Ham fans aren’t overly bothered about who they bring in up top as long as he is good enough to make the squad better.
Last season was a joke with Antonio having to lead the line all by himself and that simply can’t be allowed to happen again. The bottom line is a striker needs to be signed but who that is is still largely up for debate.
