West Ham United still in the race to sign Sevilla forward Youssef En-Nesyri
West Ham United are still in the race to sign Sevilla and Morocco forward Youssef En-Nesyri but will need to cough up £34million-plus for his signature, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The report details how West Ham United have failed in their pursuits of the 25-year-old in the past who has received criticism for his La Liga performances this season.
Nevertheless, Mundo Deportivo shares that David Moyes is a “lover” of the forward and the Irons are “still there” in the race to sign him.

“West Ham is still there, with David Moyes as a lover of his game, and others are beginning to add to the interest,” as quoted by Mundo Deportivo.
“If an offer came in that exceeded 40 million euros, the player would probably leave Nervión, where he arrived from Leganés in January 2021 after paying the 20 million release clause.”

Scamacca injury.
A move for the Moroccan may come down to the extent of Gianluca Scamacca’s recent injury, the forward limped off in West Ham United friendly clash against Fulham on 17 December.
Whether the Italian will be out of action for a prolonged amount of time remains to be seen, but a lengthy injury may force the Hammers into a January move.
This means En-Nesyri could well be the man to fill in for Scamacca, especially if Mundo’s report of Moyes’ undying love for the forward is anything to go by.
Nevertheless, the Hammers should be wary of his poor club form, the forward has done little to impress since joining Sevilla in January 2021.
He looked fairly decent at the FIFA World Cup for Morocco, but this was largely down to other players in the team excelling and their extremely talented defence and midfield.
Dishing out £34m+ for a man who may only be back up to Scamacca seems extreme, especially with Michail Antonio still firmly in the mix, but it’s a deal worth considering if the Italian’s injury is worse than first feared.
