West Ham United still in talks with Chelsea over permanent Armando Broja move

Chelsea striker Armando Broja is not set to join West Ham on loan at this point, contrary to media reports, as per ExWHUemployee.

The Daily Mail reported on 17 July that the Hammers “look set to sign” the 20-year-old on loan.

Writing on his Patreon, the reliable Hammers source reported on 17 July that the Hammers are still in talks with Chelsea over a loan deal, but they are not close to reaching an agreement as yet.

West Ham

Chelsea prefer to sell him on loan, but the Hammers want him permanently and will push for the move in the coming days.

Get it done

It was never going to be easy to sign a player from a London rival and it seems talks are going to drag on for a while.

At the moment, it looks like signing Broja on loan is the last option for the Hammers, as they definitely want to sign him permanently.

It makes more sense. First of all, being so young, David Moyes can gradually help him to grow into a top striker.

He can build his team around him over the years, something he cannot do if the striker joins on loan.

West Ham

Thomas Tuchel probably feels that Broja can contribute to the senior team next season, and he is reluctant to sell him permanently.

What has been more frustrating is that the Hammers are checking on other options as well, and suddenly it leaves them in a transfer wilderness.

As it stands, the Hammers are not close to securing a deal for Broja but anything can happen in the coming days.
