West Ham United star Jarrod Bowen England call-up ‘likely’ in coming hours
West Ham winger Jarrod Bowen is “likely” to get his first England call-up with Gareth Southgate set to announce the squad later today, as per Sky Sports.
The 25-year-old has notched 31 goal involvements in all competitions for the Hammers this season – more than any other player.
Bowen was “in the frame” for the last Three Lions squad but a fractured bone in his foot ruled him out.

He is now “on the verge” of being included in the squad to face Hungary, Italy and Germany in the Nations League games taking place at the start of June.
The Irons forward will be keen to impress as Southgate looking to make headway for his 2022 Qatar World Cup squad.
About time.
This has been a long, long time coming for Bowen. Everyone at West Ham knows just how good he is – they would have had him in the England squad several months ago but for some reason, it takes Hammers a while to get the recognition elsewhere.
It was seen with Declan Rice when the Irons were calling for him to be in the squad for a very long time. When the 23-year-old finally got the call-up, he never looked back and has now established himself as a stalwart in the side.

Hopefully, something similar can happen with Bowen ahead of the World Cup at the end of the year.
His form has been breathtaking this season, it really has, the attacker just needs to replicate that for his country.
It will be difficult though, playing for England brings a different type of pressure that the former Hull City man has never witnessed before – he just needs to be calm and play the football everyone knows he is capable of.
Having two Hammers in the England squad would be amazing.
In other West Ham news, Alan Shearer has gushed over one “superb” West Ham man who should be “really pleased” with himself.
