West Ham United stance shared on future of Lukasz Fabianski, Aaron Cresswell and Angelo Ogbonna
West Ham have made their stance known on the long-term futures of senior first-team trio Lukasz Fabianski, Aaron Cresswell and Angelo Ogbonna.
The Hammers trio are all set to see their contracts at the club expire in the summer of 2024, and none of them are currently regulars in David Moyes’ strongest starting lineup.
And according to a report from Claret and Hugh (10 October) there are currently no plans for their deals to be extended beyond the current season, meaning they could all leave for free.

“West Ham veterans Lukasz Fabianski, Aaron Cresswell, and Angelo Ogbonna are all unlikely to see their contracts renewed at the end of next season,” they wrote.
Sensible
Much like the news that the club aren’t going to discuss the future of David Moyes until closer to the end of his contract in the summer of 2024, it makes sense for the same to be done for these players.
If they’re not in the manager’s plans right now then it makes no sense that they would agree to stay on without talking to whoever is going to be in charge next year first, whether that is Moyes or someone else.
But also on top of that, they need to prove that they’re going to be capable of helping the club go forward otherwise giving them a new contract will simply be a waste of time for everyone.

Cresswell’s time was almost up last summer when Wolves wanted him but Moyes wouldn’t sanction it without a reasonable fee, while Fabianski has been demoted to second-choice goalkeeper in the league behind Alphonse Areola after being number one for so long.
Decisions need to be made in the coming months, but it seems the Hammers have got some already in the back of their mind as they plot their path going forward.
