West Ham United stance emerges on former Chelsea manager Graham Potter
Former Chelsea and Brighton manager Graham Potter is not being considered by West Ham with their focus on Julen Lopetegui and Hansi Flick, according to the Mirror.
The media outlet claimed on 3 May that Ruben Amorim had turned down a move to the London Stadium and that the club are hopeful to agree a deal with Lopetegui.
However, former Bayern Munich manager Flick is also understood to be under consideration.
West Ham United are making a big Graham Potter mistake
Potter would be a better option for the Hammers than Lopetegui due to his proven track record in the Premier League and his ability to improve teams over time.
At Brighton, Potter led the team to a record-breaking season, demonstrating his tactical acumen and player development skills.
There was significant improvement considering the club had sold key players like Yves Bissouma, Marc Cucurella and Neal Maupay in the transfer window.
His ability to absorb difficult periods and recover from losing streaks showcased his resilience and adaptability, qualities that would be beneficial for the Hammers.
In contrast, Lopetegui’s recent performances have been underwhelming, with his management at Wolves drawing criticism.
His time at Molineux has been marked by a lack of progress and a failure to address the team’s weaknesses.

Furthermore, Potter’s experience in the Premier League would give him an edge in understanding the league’s demands and the needs of West Ham’s squad and he must be considered.
