West Ham United: Sources share Graham Potter verdict amid David Moyes sacking calls
West Ham could struggle to secure Graham Potter’s signature if David Moyes were to leave at the end of the season, sources have told GiveMeSport.
The online source reported [27 March] that, despite links to the former Brighton & Hove Albion and Chelsea manager amid calls for Moyes’ sacking, the Hammer may struggle to lure him to the London Stadium.
It was reported in August 2023, as per TuttoMercatoWeb, that West Ham had already lined up Potter and Igor Tudor as potential replacements ahead of the 2023/24 season, and those rumours have continued.
Will David Moyes remain as West Ham United manager next season?
Much to the frustration of fans at the London Stadium, there is massive uncertainty over Moyes’ future at the club, with the current manager admitting that a new contract offer is on the table.
Pressure has been growing on the Scot’s shoulders, exacerbated by West Ham’s winless streak between the start of 2024 and mid-February, finally ending the rot with a 4-2 win over Brentford on Monday 26 February.
The Hammers went eight matches in all competitions without a victory, a run that saw the squad knocked out of the FA Cup by Championship outfit Bristol City, drawing with relegation-bound Sheffield United and a 6-0 thrashing by Arsenal at home.
Because of this, fans have become more and more frustrated with Moyes, and especially his defensive style of football, despite lifting the Europa Conference League title last season.
Of course, managers can only live on past achievements for so long, with football being a results-based sport. Unfortunately, for a while, West Ham were unable to claim positive results.

Potter has handfuls of experience in the Premier League, building something very special with Brighton before earning a bigger move to Chelsea, but being kicked out by Stamford Bridge’s revolving door.
It seems that Moyes’ future at the London Stadium is fully in his own hands, which makes the end of the season all the more interesting.
In other West Ham news, Gareth Southgate wanted to select a Hammers teammate of Jarrod Bowen’s for his latest squad.
