West Ham United source speaks out post cancellation of end-of-season awards
West Ham have reportedly cancelled their annual end-of-season award ceremony due to their poor performances in the Premier League.
The Hammers have been in a relegation battle this campaign and despite being in the middle of May, are not mathematically guaranteed of their status in the top flight next season.
A reliable source inside the club told Six Foot Two on 15 May, “It is entirely inappropriate with the season we have had.”

Just give it to Rice
If there’s one West Ham player that deserves to be lauded for this campaign, it’s Declan Rice and he deserves the award.
No other player has been consistently good as the 24-year-old has and it’s pretty evident that he’s been let down by the manager and some of his teammates.
There are no surprises that he wants to leave the club in the summer and West Ham fans will fully understand even if he joins Arsenal or Chelsea.

David Moyes’ future at the club also appears to be in jeopardy and this is the perfect time for him to leave for good.
He can go out with his head held high should the Hammers win the Europa League and that would be a perfect way to end what’s been a relatively successful stint at the London Stadium.
The club are already planning ahead of next season and there’s a good chance that Moyes is not a part of those plans.
