West Ham United source shares David Moyes update with UEFA job on cards

Sources at West Ham United have disclosed that a new deal for David Moyes is now very unlikely beyond this season, according to the Daily Mail.

The newspaper has reported in its print edition [6 November, pg 63] that Hammers executives are considering a new role for the Scotsman upstairs at the London Stadium.

In a new twist though, Moyes is said to have plenty of suitors with a role at UEFA potentially on the cards for them to utilise his experience through management.

Certain issues were resolved over disputes at the club, including new signings and the direction they were moving, but that doesn’t appear to be enough.

Moyes looks likely to remain until the end of the season, at least, with change then expected after his successful second spell, which has delivered a major European trophy.

Twists.

Moyes’ future looks far from straightforward at this moment in time, with a big decision for him to make ahead, it seems.

With the potential to move upstairs at West Ham, to a role with UEFA among others, there may need to be a moment for him to sit down and assess his options.

Given the carnage between him and the likes of Tim Steidten over the summer, it looks unlikely at first glance that he will want to stick around in a role alongside him.

The interesting proposition of a move to UEFA could offer a change of scenery after many years of facing the pressure of being a Premier League manager.

One thing is for sure, Moyes will leave a club legend after bringing back the good times to the London Stadium, with that Conference League victory top of the pile.

This is certainly something to keep an eye on very soon.
