West Ham United skipper Declan Rice shares reaction after England World Cup selection
West Ham skipper Declan Rice has been selected in the England squad for the World Cup to be held in Qatar in a few days’ time from now.
Rice has been simply unbelievable for both club and country this season, and his inclusion was expected. He took to Instagram to share his reaction, saying he can’t describe the emotion at the moment.
Liverpool goalkeeper and former Iron, Adrian has responded to his post, saying “Well deserved amigo” with Ivan Toney also responding after missing out himself.

Rice wrote on Instagram: “Words can’t describe the feeling of being selected for my first World Cup. A real honour and hope we can do everyone proud. Let’s go.”
Deserved
Well, it didn’t come as a surprise to us. It is a fact that both Gareth Southgate and David Moyes can’t think of their starting line-up without Rice in it.
He is that special. Rice was still very raw when England reached the finals in European Championship. Kalvin Phillips, who was at Leeds at that time, was more dominant in that tournament.
Since then, Rice has emerged as one of the best holding midfielders in the Premier League.

He was always superb with his defensive abilities, but where he has really grown as a midfielder is in his distribution. He has become a terrific passer of the ball.
At West Ham, he is now given more licence to join the attack and as a result, we now see more key passes from him. He comes with odd goals as well.
Unfortunately, his future continues to dominate the headlines, something he has no control over. West Ham could lose him in the summer, but for the moment, the fan must enjoy their hero playing at the peak of his form.
