West Ham United set to welcome back Maxwel Cornet after World Cup break
West Ham United are set to welcome back Maxwel Cornet to their squad after the World Cup break, according to a report from Claret and Hugh.
The 26-year-old, who joined in the summer for around £17m, has been injured since the game against Wolves at the London Stadium. However, a “key source” has told them on 1 December that the player is now fully fit.
Cornet is likely to be available for the games against Arsenal and Brentford after the World Cup event, which will come as “great news” for David Moyes.

“Cornet is now virtually back to fitness and it really will be like signing a new player,” the key source told Claret and Hugh.
Boost
Moyes needs his key players after the World Cup as West Ham will look to climb up the table.
The Hammers are 16th in the league table at the moment, and they need to improve a lot in the second half of the campaign.
Cornet was one of those big signings for the London club during the summer window as the club splashed over £150m on multiple players.

He has made only one start in the Premier League, and a further four appearances have come from the bench. He has also made two appearances in the Europa Conference league as well.
Nayef Aguerd is another summer signing who has missed a chunk of action so far due to injury, and like Cornet, he is set to return after the World Cup break.
Cornet is a versatile player who can play in multiple positions. He can play as a winger, as a striker, or as a full-back if needed, and it will be interesting to see how Moyes uses him after he returns.
