ExWHUemployee: West Ham United set to sign new deal with Umbro
West Ham United are on the verge of signing a new and improved deal with kit manufacturer Umbro, according to ExWHUemployee.
Umbro have been the club’s kit supplier since 2015 and now have an agreement in place to extend this deal for future Premier League campaigns.
Unless another kit manufacturer like Nike, Adidas or even Puma comes forward with a more lucrative deal then an agreement with Umbro will be completed soon.

“West Ham are edging closer to finalising a deal with a kit manufacturer to commence from next season, it has been reported by ExWHUEmployee,” as quoted by The West Ham Way. (18 February)
“At present, the club have an agreement in place with Umbro, who have been the club’s supplier since 2015 – having signed an extension to the partnership back in 2020.
“Umbro have overseen a historic period for West Ham, providing the kit designs for our memorable and emotional Farewell Boleyn campaign, with the club then making a move from Upton Park to the London Stadium in 2016.
“With the current deal set to expire at the end of this season, Ex reported that the club have been open in the market at potential new suppliers – however Umbro, despite no agreement in place at the time, pressed ahead with designs for our kit for the next campaign.
“Speaking on The West Ham Way Podcast, Ex has now reported that a new agreement with Umbro is being finalised, which would see our partnership with the sportswear brand beyond its existing seven year spell.”

Good deal?
Umbro is a British sportswear company that replaced Adidas as the main Hammers kit supplier in 2015, something which fans weren’t too pleased with.
With shirt sponsorship contracts and sleeve sponsorships all part of the Premier League kit life nowadays there is a lot of money being thrown about.
And in all fairness to Umbro, they have released some pretty decent-looking kits over the last few years with plain and simplistic designs seeming to be the way forward.
This season’s away kit is a real gem and hopefully, the Hammers will be seeing more sleek designs like this one in the coming years at the London Stadium.
Nevertheless, it’s always nice to be sponsored by one of the big boys like Nike or Adidas as these companies often provide more attractive leisurewear for the club’s away from the kits.
Who knows Umbro may even have the honour of seeing West Ham United lift the UEFA Europa Conference League in their kit this season.
