West Ham United set to launch offers for brand new striker transfer next week

West Ham United are set to launch new offers for a couple of forwards as early as next week, according to ExWHUemployee on Saturday [04 June].

The reliable source has reported that the Hammers are using their usual strategy of finding which of their targets represents the best value for money in this window.

It is suggested that Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Ollie Watkins will cost too much, with Armando Broja, Emmanuel Dennis and Mohamed Bayo more realistic options.

Writing on the West Ham Way Patreon page on Saturday morning [04 June], Ex shared the latest with developments set to heat up in the coming weeks.

“West Ham are set to step up our pursuit of a forward next week with offers set to go in for a couple of players,” he wrote. “The usual strategy of seeing which target represents the best value for money at play here.

“It seems that we have decided that big-name targets such as Watkins and Calvert-Lewin will be beyond our forward budget so we will target forwards below that valuation tier.

“These include Emmanuel Dennis of Watford, Armando Broja of Chelsea/Southampton (who we bid for in January) and a French target with the most likely to be Mohamed Bayo of Clermont Foot.”

Options.

West Ham have plenty of options available to them, clearly.

Rob Newman may like looking in France for his targets, but bringing in new signings with Premier League experience already could be the smartest move to make.

Broja and Dennis certainly fit that category after brilliant returns in the 2021-22 season.

The Chelsea striker could be available on loan once again, and if a permanent deal can be worked into that, it would be even better moving forward.

Dennis could be much cheaper given Watford’s relegation to the Championship, and that is something that will surely be explored in the coming days.

Everton and Aston Villa aren’t going to want to sell two of their biggest names to a direct rival, so it was no surprise that those potential moves never got off the ground.

This is one to watch over the next week, with money set to be thrown at clubs.
