West Ham United set for phonecall in next hour to finalise Gianluca Scamacca transfer
West Ham United are set for a phone call at 5 pm over the signing of Sassuolo forward Gianluca Scamacca, according to Alfredo Pedulla.
The Italian journalist shared the update that may mean the Hammers are closing in on finalising the deal to bring the goal machine to the London Stadium on Friday [22 July].
It is also reported that a move has been made for Eintracht Frankfurt wing-back Filip Kostic, backing up reports of a bid being launched for the Serbian international.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Pedulla shared the major update that may show this one is very close to being finalised on Friday evening.
“Scamacca – West Ham [phone] 6pm [5pm GMT],” he wrote.
“Kostic: the English anticipations of this morning confirmed.”
Here We Go.
Could this be the finishing touches?
West Ham United are said to have been told that the asking price is now £42.6million and that may be set to be ironed out in this upcoming call.
David Moyes is not messing around in this window, and the money is really starting to fly around with the backing of GSBK seemingly coming very easy.
The Hammers are crying out for reinforcements, with left-back and the final third two of the biggest problem areas over recent years.
Adding Scamacca and Kostic would solve those issues, and then all eyes could move on to a new midfielder to really complete this group at the London Stadium.
Hopefully, this phone call can get an agreement in place and then we can get Scamacca flying across to England to get this move finalised and made official over the weekend.
The striker has been left out of pre-season friendlies already, so he clearly wants the move – time to get it done.
