West Ham United set for £6million windfall as Borussia Dortmund set to sign Sebastien Haller

West Ham United are set to receive a £6million windfall in the imminent future, according to the Daily Mail.

The newspaper has reported in their print edition [20 June, pg. 65] that Sebastien Haller is set to seal a move to Borussia Dortmund from Ajax, activating a 20% sell-on clause for the Irons.

It is shared that a total move to the German side will be worth around £29million and should be done imminently, meaning the Hammers will get their chunk too.

Simon Jones wrote in his latest edition of Window Watch: “Ajax are selling Sebastien Haller to Borussia Dortmund for £29m and West Ham would be due about £6m due to a 20 per cent sell-on clause.”

It is also shared that Torino are eyeing a loan move for Nikola Vlasic, whereas the first major signing of the summer in the shape of Nayef Aguerd should be announced on Monday too [20 June].

West Ham

Masterclass.

Selling Haller to Ajax back in January of 2020 raised many eyebrows, mainly due to the fact that no replacement was brought in for David Moyes at the time.

That still hasn’t happened, but it looks as though the Irons are set to benefit from this deal for a second time.

The Ivorian hit the ground running despite having a shocker at the London Stadium, and took the Champions League by storm in the most West Ham development you have ever seen.

Haller couldn’t hit a barndoor at the London Stadium and now he is set to replace Erling Haaland of all people at Borussia Dortmund, but at least we benefit.

Hopefully, this can be used to finally get a striker deal of our own over the line, with Moyes surely desperate for that to happen as we edge towards the 2022-23 season getting underway.

Michail Antonio has done as much as he can leading the line with no cover for nearly two years now, and it is time that issue is sorted once and for all with a huge transfer.
