West Ham United sensation Callum Marshall shares what he wants to play next season
Callum Marshall is determined to break into the West Ham senior squad once he returns from loan at Huddersfield Town.
The 19-year-old clarified that he sees his long-term future at the London Stadium, having struck up a good relationship with Mark Noble.
He is also hopeful that a first-team berth will be awaiting him when he returns from Yorkshire next season.
“They love me at West Ham. I have really good relationships with all the staff around the Under-21s and get on well with Mark Noble”, the striker was quoted as saying by The Mirror on their website on 11 October.
“I have another three years on my contract so hopefully at the end of this season, I go back having had a lot more experience of league football and playing against men.
“Hopefully that will give me a good chance to push on with them.
“We had a great youth team, so they already know what I’m about with my finishing and my ability.
“As a youngster you need to play men’s football regularly and get used to that. That’s the plan.”
Callum Marshall is highly rated at West Ham United
Marshall has a pathway into the first team as Niclas Fullkrug, Danny Ings and Michail Antonio are all in their 30s.
He has notably made strides since joining West Ham in January 2022, making his senior debut in an FA Cup defeat to Bristol City earlier this year.
It is evident that the Irons are keen to fast-track the teenager’s development, having sent him out on loan to West Brom and now Huddersfield.
The West Ham sensation is keen to take his chance with the Terriers and has two goals and assists to his name in 11 games so far.
It is a testament to Marshall’s abilities that he has already been capped four times by Northern Ireland at international level.

His most recent start for the side did not go according to plan as he was described as “lacking at times” in their 2-0 victory over Luxembourg last month.
However, as a teenager, Marshall will only get better as he progresses.
