West Ham United send scouts to Midtjylland v Feyenoord
West Ham United sent scouts to watch Midtjylland’s 2-2 draw against Feyenoord on Thursday evening, according to Dutch news website 1908. NL.
The Dutch website revealed (7 October) that the Hammers along with a host of European clubs, including Borussia Dortmund, had scouts at the match.
West Ham have previously been linked with Feyenoord midfielder Orkun Kökçü (Fabrizio Romano, 21 June) and the Turkey international was on the scoresheet for the away side.

Fairly obvious
This seems like a fairly obvious piece of work from the Hammers with Kokcu still clearly on their radar after their interest in the middle of the summer. Goals from deeper in midfield is certainly an area for Moyes to look into and the 21-year-old would certainly provide that.
However, if the Hammers do look to revive their move for the exciting midfielder then there will clearly be a lot of competition for his signature, with a number of clubs in attendance [6 October].

It’s refreshing to see the Irons potentially planning for their transfer business already. After the success of the 2022 summer window, the club have shown they can lure some of Europe’s brightest young talent to the club.
Kökçü’s contract runs until the summer of 2025, so he won’t come cheap but considering that West Ham spent over £150million in the summer, this is not out of the realms of possibility.
Let’s hope we hear of more scouting missions from the Hammers in the near future in the lead-up to the January window opening.
