West Ham United see ‘no better man’ than David Moyes to be manager – ExWHUEmployee

West Ham United currently have no intentions of sacking David Moyes despite a poor start to the 2022-23 season, according to ExWHUEmployee.

The Irons currently sit 18th in the Premier League, within the relegation zone, after seven matches with only one win to their name which is far below what was expected after last season’s seventh-place finish.

The £170million spent over the summer should have seen the Hammers keep pushing forwards but the opposite has happened although Moyes is safe in his job for now.

West Ham

“Whilst results have been disappointing and there are already a few people who feel that Moyes should be sacked but myself and more importantly the club feel this is way too early,” ExWHUEmployee said to The West Ham Way.

“I spoke to a top source in the club who told me that there is no better man to turn round the results than the man that has already twice got us out of sticky situations. He is also said to have a lot of credit in the bank after the last two seasons and the board are certainly in no rush to replace him.

“Of course, if we continue to have poor results and end up fighting a relegation battle then the board will start to consider things, but for now Moyes’ position is 100 per cent safe which I believe is the right stance at this moment.”

Good news

After two extremely successful seasons at the London Stadium, Moyes absolutely deserves more time than normal to turn things around and once the squad is back from international duty, he will start that process.

West Ham

There have been a number of difficult opponents and situations that have troubled the Irons so far with Manchester City on the opening day followed by being the first team to visit Nottingham Forest for a top-flight game in decades.

If West Ham are bottom come the World Cup break, then the conversation has to be had about whether the Scot is still the man to lead the club but there is no benefit in sacking him right now.

When you look at the mess Watford have got themselves in by sacking managers as soon as possible, there have to be lessons learned when you consider they have had 17 managers since July 2012, one less than in the history of the Irons.
