West Ham United scout Lorient striker Terem Moffi v Monaco after Youssef En-Nesyri snub
West Ham have reportedly scouted Lorient striker Terem Moffi after they failed in their pursuit to sign Youssef En-Nesyri from Sevilla.
According to Foot 365 journalist Ignatius Genuardi, the Hammers saw Moffi in action against Monaco in which he bagged a goal.
The Nigerian started the game and played the full 90 minutes as he helped his side secure a 2-2 draw.
Via Twitter, Genuardi wrote, “T Moffi is notably targeted by West Ham. After unsuccessfully approaching En-Nesyri (Sevilla FC), the Hammers are looking closely at the Super Eagle, who was ‘scouted’ against ASM. Southampton has already made a first offer. In vain.”
Battle heats up
It does seem like Michail Antonio is either out this month or in the summer, but there is an urgency at the London Stadium to sign a new striker.
En-Nesyri has been linked with the Hammers for over a year now but they have failed to secure his services since then and have missed out yet again.
If they’ve scouted Moffi and are impressed by him, then they should pursue his services quickly as there are other clubs keen too.

Southampton looks like they’re throwing the kitchen sink at it in this transfer window in the hopes to stay up so they will be trying to convince him to join.
At 23, Moffi will be a good investment for the future too so we can understand why the West Ham board will be open to bringing him in.
It’s understood that the club will look to begin talks over Moffi and it remains to be seen if he comes in regardless of Antonio’s future.
