West Ham United: Scott Minto delivers David Moyes exit verdict at London Stadium
Former West Ham player Scott Minto “would be surprised” if David Moyes is still in charge at London Stadium next season.
Moyes’ future – and who could replace him – remains a hot topic of debate among supporters as he enters the final two months of his current contract.
The Scotsman has been offered a new deal, meaning his future is in his own hands, but Minto does not expect him to sign it.
“There’s some tough games coming up for David Moyes,” Minto said on the Premier League All Access podcast [28 March, 28m 15s].
“I obviously hope they win, but this one [against Newcastle United] will be tough, then there’s Spurs and the Europa League.
“I would be surprised if he’s the manager next season.”
David Moyes deliberating on West Ham contract offer
Moyes is running out of time to decide whether he intends to stay on or not as West Ham manager given he is soon to be out of contract.
In fairness, the 60-year-old has earned the right to decide whether he stays or goes after last year’s Europa Conference League success.
You would imagine that Moyes is waiting to see how West Ham fair in their Europa League quarter-final with Bayer Leverkusen.

This latest European run has built up some further goodwill between Moyes and the fanbase, which was lacking just a month or so ago.
Many would still be happy to see the back of Moyes at the end of the campaign, with his style of play often cited as the key reason why.
Whether he stays or goes, we will get a definitive answer one way or another within the next eight weeks or so.
In other West Ham news, the Irons are now “serious contenders” to complete a deal for an in-demand player.
