West Ham United sack decision news as Graham Potter and Igor Tudor lined up
West Ham have lined up two potential replacements for David Moyes already with Graham Potter and Igor Tudor named ahead of the new season, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.
The news outlet reported on its website (7 August) that the Irons coach is already under pressure after worrying pre-season defeats at the hands of Rennes and Bayer Leverkusen and therefore those above him at the London Stadium have already identified replacements, especially as his contract expires in June of 2024.
Potter most recently managed Chelsea, before being sacked after only 31 matches in charge at Stamford Bridge and according to reports from TalkSport (4 April) has since turned down an approach from Leicester City to take some time out of the game.

Tudor lead Marseille to a very impressive third-place position in Ligue 1 and guided them into this season’s Champions League, but announced that he would part ways with the club at the end of the campaign due to tiredness with the club.
Harsh on Moyes
Moyes has earned the right to lead West Ham United into this new campaign, having won the Europa Conference League last season and secured Premier League safety once more remaining in post for the start of this season seems fair.
Both managers that are reportedly waiting in the wings at the London Stadium have impressive CVs and may well represent an upgrade on the former Manchester United manager on paper, but that doesn’t mean it would be a wise decision to jump the gun.
Moyes hasn’t so far this transfer window been backed in the manner that he would have liked with his preferred targets of Harry Maguire and James Ward-Prowse deemed too expensive, while at the time of writing the Irons are the only Premier League side yet to make a signing.

However, there is a feeling that this coming season doesn’t end with Moyes in charge in East London, for there to be this much talk about him being sacked before a ball has even been kicked in the Premier League doesn’t bode well.
It would be a risky decision for West Ham to cut ties so close to the start of the season.
