West Ham United: Declan Rice enhances reputation after what he did after England loss in Qatar – Henry Winter
West Ham United captain Declan Rice increased his glowing reputation after numerous top outings for England in the FIFA World Cup, according to The Times journalist Henry Winter.
Rice and England however, crashed out of the tournament on December 10, in an agonisingly close defeat to France in the Quarter Finals.
Nevertheless, Winter confessed that Rice “enhanced” his reputation on and off the field in Qatar and seized his opportunity to showcase his talents to the world.
“Rice stopped to talk, having enhanced his reputation on and off the field here, seizing his opportunity to show the world his abilities, doubtless including admirers like Chelsea and Manchester United,” said Winter as quoted by The Times.
Winter’s not wrong, Rice’s skillset and talents will be wanted even more after his terrific tournament and his price tag will be even higher after Qatar.
Inevitable.
A rice West Ham United exit seems more inevitable by the day and the club will likely be resigned to losing their star asset this summer.
So why not enjoy the classy midfielder whilst he’s still at the club? There’s still a long way to go in this campaign with a few trophies still on offer.
Rice signing off with some silverware at the London Stadium would be the absolute dream and the UEFA Europa Conference League seems like the best shout to do this.
Despite the Hammers poor start to the season, they have been flying in Europe and have seemed to carry on their UEFA Europa League efforts into the other European competition this campaign.
