West Ham United respond as new Divin Mubama transfer update emerges
FC Twente are interested in a loan move for West Ham striker Divin Mubama, according to Simon Jones.
The Daily Mail journalist [30 January] has reported that the Eredivisie side is the latest club to be interested in Mubama’s services but the Hammers are reluctant for the 19-year-old to leave London Stadium this month.
It is understood that Mubama is yet to agree to a new deal at West Ham but talks are expected to take place next month. West Brom and Sheffield Wednesday have already enquired about the situation.
Possible hammer blow in the summer
The whole situation with Mubama and West Ham is rather frustrating, with the club set to lose an extremely talented youngster if everything stays as it is.
David Moyes also continues to drop Mubama to the bench, with out-of-form Danny Ings given more opportunities on the pitch than the young prospect.
With just 18 senior appearances since being promoted to the first team in August 2022, it is understandable that Mubama would prefer a loan move away than to occupy a space on the bench for the Hammers.

His stats speak for themselves, with 43 goals in 61 appearances for the Under 18s and 20 goals in 29 academy matches. FC Twente, who currently sit third in the Dutch top-flight behind Feyenoord and PSV, would be capturing an incredible talent.
However, West Ham can only allow this to happen if they can tie the youngster down to a new contract. Why would they not want to secure his services for the next few years, or at least gain profit from his development?
If they allow him to depart the club on loan without committing his future, Mubama at West Ham is all but lost.
In other West Ham news, the Irons’ attempt to bring in a player from abroad has reportedly hit an unexpected snag.
