West Ham United ready to spend ‘big money’ on Armando Broja, player to sort future soon

West Ham United are ready to spend “big money” on Armando Broja but the problem is no one really knows what Chelsea want to do with him, as reported by The Atheltic.

The website reported on 8 July that Broja has a deep affection for Chelsea, but at the same time he wants regular games to further his progress after spending the last season on loan at Southampton.

Broja’s representatives are in talks with Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly. More talks are expected to follow in the next 24 hours, while another meeting took place on Wednesday, 6 July.

Chelsea want to keep him at Stamford Bridge, but with other clubs vying for his signature, he could be tempted to leave the club this summer.

Waiting game

There is nothing the Hammers can do at the moment other than making their feelings clear that the club need him this summer to spearhead their attack.

Newcastle United and Southampton are also keen to sign, but it all depends on what Thomas Tuchel feels, as the player has four years left on his contract.

This gives Chelsea the option to send him out on loan again. Last season, he went on to make 45 appearances for Southampton and Albania. He also spent 2020-21 at Vitesse Arnhem.

West Ham

At this stage, he feels it’s time for him to settle down at a club, and continue his progress. Moving here and there on short-term deals could have a negative effect on his rapid progress.

He probably won’t commit to his future unless Chelsea can assure him that he is going to be a significant part of Tuchel’s plans in 2022-23.

The Hammers desperately need to sign a striker this summer, but in this case, they need to keep patience.
