West Ham United ready for new Jarrod Bowen contract after transfer drive
West Ham are ready to double the wages of Jarrod Bowen once the transfer window has closed, after spending the summer prioritising a recruitment drive, according to the Daily Mail.
The newspaper shared in their print edition [27 August, pg 9] that the forward is currently earning £60,000 per week and is contracted until 2025, but talks have already started over a new long-term deal.
Bowen is said to be happy in East London and was the hero in Prague as West Ham won the Europa Conference League last season, with the Hammers reportedly keen on extending his deal even prior to his heroics.

Get him tied down as soon as possible
Regardless of the star names in this West Ham team, including the new arrivals of James Ward-Prowse, Mohammed Kudus and Edson Alvarez, Bowen has been one of their most consistent and reliable players over the last few years and has earned the reward of a new contract.
The forward has scored two goals already this season, one against Bournemouth on the opening day and the second in their 3-1 victory over Brighton at the Amex, showing no signs of slowing down after last season’s success.
While the priority in East London this summer has understandably been the drive for new recruits after losing Declan Rice among others, and that drive is set to continue over the next week, they must quickly turn their attention to securing their current assets.

Bowen arrived at the London Stadium for Hull City in January 2020 and has impressed fans and the club with his appearances over almost four years at the club. It would be difficult to name a player in this squad more deserving of a wage boost than him.
In other West Ham news, the club are considering returning for a player they missed out on earlier in the window.
