West Ham United reach £17m agreement with Fulham as Issa Diop set for exit
West Ham United have reached an agreement to sell Issa Diop to Fulham, as per Dahbia Hattabi.
The Foot Mercato journalist reported on Twitter on 8 August that the Hammers have reached an agreement with Fulham for around £17 million.
The defender will sign a five-year contract with the Cottagers.
Hattabi wrote on Twitter: “Agreement between West Ham and Fulham for the transfer of Issa Diop. Amount of the operation £17m, just over €20m . The defender will sign a 5-year contract.”
Expected
Diop has been heavily linked with a move to Fulham this summer, and it seems the Hammers have reached an agreement for the French defender.
He dropped down the pecking order at the club last season, and despite and it seems David Moyes has made the call to sell him this summer, despite the injury to Nayed Aguerd.
Diop struggled to make an impact last season, where he had a great opportunity to cement his position on the side, and it has probably where the decision to sell him was made.

Ideally, the Hammers were looking for a fee of around £20 million, but it is still a very good business for the club.
West Ham are looking to add another defender to their ranks this summer, and Moyes must be given the funds to recycle into the market to bring in a quality defender.
Diop has made over 120 appearances in four seasons at the club and has scored eight goals.
