West Ham United poised to complete Flynn Downes transfer before 2pm on Friday
West Ham United are set to confirm the signing of Swansea City midfielder Flynn Downes before 2pm on Friday afternoon, according to Wales Online.
It is reported that the Championship side have already made their move to bring Joe Allen into the club in what could be seen as a direct replacement.
Downes has already completed two parts of a medical at the London Stadium, so there shouldn’t be much standing in the way of the announcement [Dharmesh Sheth].

David Moyes is on the verge of yet another one of his smart signings.
No one will have heard much about Downes before his arrival on the scene, but the Irons could be set to pay only £12million for his signing.
That could be seen as a bargain in a years’ time, with his rise from Ipswich to the Swans, then all the way to the Premier League in a matter of years a testament to his ability.

Love this.
Wow, this one has come out of absolutely nowhere.
It is so refreshing to see West Ham United jump onto a transfer, get the medical done within hours and then maybe announce it all in a matter of days.
Usually, there are numerous hitches and potential clubs hijacking, but it looks as though as soon as the Irons came in, Downes had made up his mind.
As a boyhood West Ham fan, that is no surprise, and the passion he should bring should be infectious to the fans who will no doubt love him should he perform.
This is something that needed doing too, with Mark Noble retiring, Alex Kral returning to CSKA Moscow and the future of Tomas Soucek now really in doubt.
Hopefully, this can be done and dusted within hours and we can already move onto other targets, hats off to everyone involved in this deal, which looks all but done.
