“The winger has endured a hellish two years of injury torment, missing two full seasons before making a comeback at the start of this campaign,” wrote Wales Online journalist Glen Williams.

“However he has struggled for minutes in West Ham’s youth setup this term and it appears he is seeking more regular action elsewhere, with the Bluebirds offering him a trial spot with the club.

“He certainly made a decent impression, scoring in just the second minute of the match against Charlton Athletic.”

Unlucky.

Peake has had absolutely no luck in recent years with horrific injuries halting his blossoming career time and time again at Rush Green.

The midfielder ruptured his ACL, MCL, LCL and meniscus and had to go through two surgeries after his first one failed. As a result, the promising youngster spent numerous crucial months in his development on the sidelines.

It seems now his time at West Ham United may have now come to an end.

Peake will now have to reignite his career elsewhere, he certainly has the attributes to do so and a Championship side may be the best place for him right now.

Making a decent impression in his trial will go a long way towards him doing so and hopefully, the gem can find some regular minutes once again.

It was always going to be tough for the youngster to make a dint in West Ham United’s first-team anyway, as is the competitive nature in Premier League squads at the moment.
