West Ham United: ‘Phenomenal’ Kieran McKenna tipped to take over from David Moyes
Darren Bent has tipped “phenomenal” Ipswich Town boss Kieran McKenna to take over from David Moyes if he leaves West Ham this summer.
The former Ipswich striker confessed that he was concerned if the club can’t achieve promotion this season the boss could leave, with the London Stadium tipped as a likely destination.
As it stands, Ipswich sit third in the Championship and would have to go up through the playoffs, but with just one point separating them from Leeds in first, anything could happen.
Speaking on Ben Foster’s YouTube channel, Bent shared: “That’s the only worry. He’s been phenomenal, and if Ipswich don’t go up… There’s so many people that would take him I think. West Ham potentially with David Moyes. There’s so many options.”
Kieran McKenna could replace David Moyes at West Ham
Moyes’ situation at the London Stadium has been a hot topic of discussion since the 6-0 defeat to Arsenal and the news that the board had delayed contract talks, although the rumours have died down slightly after putting together a strong run of form.
More recently, it has been claimed that Moyes will make a decision regarding his future at the end of the season, with West Ham remaining competitive both domestically and in Europe as things stand.
This leaves an air of uncertainty around the London Stadium, with nothing set in stone about the manager’s future, meaning the club can’t begin their search in case Moyes opts to remain in East London after all.

This is not the first time Bent has tipped the Ipswich boss to replace Moyes, having previously claimed that he would understand taking the step up to a “huge club” while McKenna was linked to Crystal Palace, who have since appointed Oliver Glasner.
