West Ham United path clear to land £21m Yunus Musah
Yunus Musah’s poor form towards the backend of the 2022/23 season has cleared the path for West Ham, according to The Daily Star’s Paul Brown.
Revelo reported on (13 June) that the Hammers were considering a move for the 20-year-old American, who is free to leave Valencia. It’s believed he’s available for £21.5million.
Talking to GIVEMESPORT, Brown has suggested that he’s very “high” on West Ham’s list.

“I’m told West Ham are very high on Yunus Musah and have been for some time now. The player had a decent World Cup. His form tailed off a little bit for his club towards the end of last season,” said Brown (22 June).
“I think that’s affected the interest of some other clubs around the world.”
Rice replacement?
West Ham need to start thinking about a replacement for Declan Rice and Musah could be an intriguing option. The 20-year-old would be a long-term addition.
It’s been a long season in La Liga with the World Cup wedged in the middle of the season for the American youngster. The board and David Moyes need to start considering replacements for the talismanic captain. Potentially looking to sign two midfielders would be the smart move.

Realistically, West Ham aren’t going to be able to replace the 24-year-old. He’s one of the best box-to-box players on the planet. Therefore looking to add multiple players in the centre of the pitch will give Moyes the best chance of adding quality and depth to his squad.
With Manchester City set to enter the race for Rice, the Hammers will be hoping for a quick resolution. Arsenal have been at the front of the queue but it’s hard to compete with the finances that City possesses. Let’s hope a resolution is found soon.
