West Ham United now once again very hot on heels of Amadou Onana, bid could come in days

West Ham United are still very hot on the heels of Lille midfielder Amadou Onana, according to Foot Mercato.

The French outlet has reported on their website that contact remains very active between the two clubs despite offers from the Irons already being batted away.

It is shared that the Hammers could be set to fire another new offer in the coming days as David Moyes looks to strengthen his midfield yet again.

West Ham have already welcomed one new midfielder in the form of Flynn Downes.

But, when you look at the fact that Alex Kral was sent back from his loan at the end of the season and Mark Noble sealed his retirement at the end of the last campaign.

That leaves Downes, Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek as our senior options, with another big name and big money player clearly wanted at the London Stadium.

Get it done.

If West Ham United are going back in for Onana, they must have been given the encouragement to do that in talks with the player, as well as the club.

Lille want as much profit as they can get, which is understandable.

But, having said that, there has to be a point where it becomes too far and either a deal is done this time around or it is off the table for good, we can’t keep this circle going.

Each time we come back to the table, the more desperate we look and the price could automatically just keep creeping up until it becomes impossible.

GSBK are clearly willing to splash the cash, but they will have caps and won’t want to spend more than they need to, there has to be a plan.

Moyes wants more reinforcements in the heart of his side, and if this latest push goes well, we could see some developments coming within days.
