West Ham United now on UEFA watchlist for FFP compliance in Friday twist
West Ham United are now being monitored by UEFA in regards to their finances, according to documents shared by Tariq Panja.
The New York Times journalist shared the news with the Irons on a watchlist to do with Financial Fair Play compliance after their European exploits last season.
UEFA also announced sanctions and settlements against eight teams for breaking the rules, with the likes of AC and Inter Milan, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain among those.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Panja shared the latest news on UEFA and their watchlist with the Irons under close attention now.
“Under previous regulations, recidivism was met with the threat of expulsion,” he wrote.
“But that — at least implied threat — not really a thing now. Uefa also other clubs with minor sanctions, and is monitoring a further 19, including Chelsea, Man City and Barcelona.”
All eyes on.
David Gold and Sullivan have spent very big this summer in the transfer window, so there can’t be many fears about sanctions coming in the near future.
It looks as though UEFA have only looked into those who are regularly in Europe, with this one coming out of nowhere.
Both West Ham and Rangers are on the list, and they both went through the Europa League and lost in the semi-finals and final to Eintracht Frankfurt respectively.
Now, they are on the watchlist for their finances, or maybe it is more of a check.
Given that Manchester City and Chelsea are on there with their huge spending habits over recent years, we can’t imagine that little old West Ham United are too much of a concern.
If it was to escalate, there would likely be outrage and big questions to be answered by UEFA, but as for now, there isn’t much to go off apart from that eyes are on the club.
Let’s revisit this one very soon.
