West Ham United now hope Jarrod Bowen will sign new deal at club

West Ham hope that Jarrod Bowen will put pen to paper on a new deal, as reported by journalist Dean Jones.

Jones wrote for GiveMeSport on 16 June that the Hammers forward will be open to the idea of signing a new contract but he is likely to ask for a release clause to be included.

The former Bleacher Report journalist also adds that talks are expected to take place later this summer.

Yes, please!

The 25-year-old has been targeted by Arsenal this summer, but Claret and Hugh reported on 14 June that he is not interested in the move.

Liverpool could have been another option for the England international but they probably won’t move for him after signing Darwin Nunez from Benfica.

Bowen was outstanding last season for the club, where he managed 18 goals and 11 assists in all competitions.

His performances have been praised heavily in the media, with former Hammers Nigel Reo-Coker hailing him as a “phenomenal” player on 7 March [BBC Football Daily podcast].

It would be really great move for the club if they can persuade Bowen, who has a contract until 2025, to sign a long-term deal.

Declan Rice is another player who could be drawing attention from heavyweight Premier League clubs, but he is likely to stay for one more season.

The club now must focus on bringing some quality players this summer to bolster the squad.

In other West Ham news, the Irons have been offered the chance to sign this £12.8million goal machine after his club was relegated.
