West Ham United notify Edin Terzic he’s a candidate to replace Julen Lopetegui
West Ham United have notified Edin Terzic that he could replace Julen Lopetegui as head coach, according to the Sunday Mirror.
The newspaper reported via its print edition on 27 October (page 63) that the German will be watching the upcoming clash between the Hammers and Manchester United “closely” as both clubs have shown an interest in acquiring his services.
The Premier League duo aren’t the only ones vying for Terizic’s services, however, as Serie A giants AC Milan have also shown an interest in the German, according to the Mirror.
Edin Terzic would be perfect for West Ham United
Before Lopetegui was hired as the Hammers’ boss, many believed it was a bit of a gamble, especially with his last stint in England in charge of Wolves.
A large section of fans wanted David Moyes out despite a ninth-place finish due to concerns over his style of football at the London Stadium.
With Lopetegui in charge this season, however, things haven’t felt any different and have, in fact, felt worse at times.
Terzic’s appointment would be a real statement of intent from the Hammers and would show their fans that they mean business, the fact he also already has a “good reputation” at the club would likely go a long way.

The German was in charge of Dortmund for a rather successful period last term which saw them go all the way to the Champions League final.
The Hammers certainly don’t lack talent within their ranks but evidently, something isn’t quite right at the club.
The Spaniard’s future has been under plenty of scrutiny and if things don’t turn around soon, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see David Sullivan replace him, especially if Terzic would be happy to accept the role.
