West Ham United not keen on MLS forward Jhon Duran in January
West Ham are not interested in signing Chicago Fire striker Jhon Duran, as reported by Football.London.
The Sun journalist Alan Nixon wrote on his Patreon (27 November) that the Hammers and Everton have jumped into the chase for the Colombian’s rising star.
Duran has scored eight times and assisted five more from 27 appearances in his first season in the American League, and he is being chased by Manchester United and Liverpool as well.

Nixon shared that the Hammers have made contact with a powerful striker about joining in a deal in January, and the player has been advised to join a smaller side to get games at a high level.
However, it appears that he is not a player the Hammers are looking at.
What West Ham need in January
The Hammers spent big in the summer transfer window but the results have been very poor.
They were supposed to challenge for European spots, but find themselves just above the relegation zone at the moment. It appears that David Moyes could look to make further incursions into the transfer market in January.
The Hammers probably don’t need another striker. Moyes has got two very good strikers in Gianluca Scamacca and Michail Antonio, and he must find a way how to get the best out of them.

The midfield is one area that needs bolstering. The Hammers are heavily dependent on Declan Rice, while big-money summer signing Lucas Paqueta has only shown flashes of brilliance, without any consistency.
The attacking midfield needs rebuilding with the club severely failing to create enough chances, especially away from home.
Moyes could also look to sign a defender after Kurt Zouma picked up a knee injury. The Frenchman has undergone surgery, and it’s not clear how long will be out.
