West Ham United source shares update on David Moyes future ahead of Crystal Palace game
David Moyes will stay on as West Ham manager until at least the end of the season barring a “dramatic development” in terms of results, a source has told Claret and Hugh.
The 60-year-old has had his position at London Stadium called into question numerous times over the past year, including earlier this season.
United have strung together a four-match winning run in all competitions ahead of facing Crystal Palace on Sunday (3 December), however, and Moyes’ job seems safe.

In an update on its website [2 December], Claret and Hugh quoted a source as saying: “The board are continuing to back the manager as things are looking more than decent at the moment.
“Indeed they did when he was under a lot of pressure. Unless there is a dramatic development in the opposite direction he looks more than safe until the end of the season.
“It will be as much his decision as the board’s whether he stays should things continue to go well anyway.”
Results business
A poor run of form between the start of October and into November raised fresh doubts over Moyes’ future at London Stadium, but fair play to the Scotsman for steadying things – again.
June’s Europa Conference League success ensures he will go down in club folklore, but plenty of the fanbase believe he has taken United as far as he can.
Managers are ultimately judged on results, and there cannot be much complaining on that front at this moment in time.

United are into the knockout stages of the Europa League, into the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup and in the top half of the Premier League.
The bigger question is whether Moyes will stay on beyond this campaign, and that will also come down to results.
For now, the experienced manager can just focus on keeping West Ham competitive in the league, while looking to add another trophy to the collection.
If he achieves that, surely nobody will begrudge him another year at London Stadium.
In other West Ham news, a development at Rush Green on Saturday (2 November) will have Moyes purring.
