West Ham United news as links remerge to Manchester United ace Harry Maguire post Declan Rice sale to Arsenal
West Ham will now test the resolve of Manchester United defender Harry Maguire after Declan Rice’s sale to Arsenal, according to the Telegraph.
The English newspaper carried a report on their website on 15 July that the focus has now turned on the England international who’s fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford.
He’s understood to be high on David Moyes’ priority list this summer and the Hammers will prefer a loan than a permanent transfer, at this moment.

Shrewd move
The Hammers are in a position to sign him outright but given how much Manchester United paid, they will want a decent transfer fee.
If West Ham can convince them to loan him out, then it could prove to be an extremely shrewd move.
Maguire has shown his class for Leicester and England and Old Trafford is often a place where many top players end up failing.

The culture of the club is ruined and very few manage to survive the toxicity and stand out with Bruno Fernandes being the only new signing who actually improved since moving there.
Maguire will be desperate to silence his critics and a move to the London Stadium may be in his best interests as well.
It remains to be seen if a move to West Ham convinces him or if he’d rather rot on the bench at Old Trafford.
In other West Ham news, an injury expert has claimed that Moyes’ physical demands could see another star player seek a London Stadium exit this summer.
