West Ham United news as Divin Mubama agent complicates plans
The agent of West Ham striker Divin Mubama is complicating the plans of him committing his future to the club, according to Roshane Thomas.
The Athletic journalist reported on 29 January that thus far, no contract agreement has been reached between the 19-year-old and the Hammers.
The attacker’s deal runs out at the end of the season, but there is an option to extend it by another year.
Via Twitter, Thomas wrote: “Divin Mubama is yet to reach an agreement over a contract extension with West Ham. Discussions have been difficult due to demands from Mubama’s agent.”

As a promising young player who has already made over 10 appearances for the first team across various competitions this season, Mubama represents both current potential and future value for the club.
Given his age and demonstrated talent, he could develop into a key asset for West Ham in the long term.
The urgency stems from the uncertainty surrounding the 19-year-old’s contract situation.
With his current deal set to expire at the end of the season and negotiations complicated by his agent’s demands, a prompt resolution is necessary to avoid any disruption to the team’s plans.
If he does not want to stay put, the Hammers can then plan to cash in on his services in the summer after invoking the one-year extension.
Alternatively, Mubama should look to switch representation as agents are supposed to make things easier for players not complicate them further.
