West Ham United new final Premier League position predicted by supercomputer
West Ham United will comfortably avoid Premier League relegation this season, according to The Opta Analyst supercomputer.
The supercomputer updated the predicted final league table after this weekend’s results, in which a 70th-minute Emerson Palmieri strike salvaged a 1-1 draw against Aston Villa.
United have remain rooted in 14th place in the Premier League table amid the previous fears of relegation, and they are expected to drop further down the league table before May.
According to the supercomputer, the Hammers are expected to finish in 15th place, with a 0.42 per cent chance of relegation.
West Ham can make a late season push under Graham Potter
For those still wondering, the supercomputer gives the Irons a zero per cent chance of qualifying for any European competition this season.
West Ham are also expected to accumulate 45 points at the end of the term, 16 points more than Ipswich Town who are predicted to finish 18th.
The Irons were hoping to push for a European finish this season, but the abysmal tenure of Julen Lopetegui brought the house down on what could have been a promising campaign.
Now, Graham Potter is left with a major rebuilding job at the London Stadium and has tasked his recruitment team to find three new signings before the transfer window slams shut on 3 February [The Guardian].

Although the positive signs are there early into Potter’s reign, with Niclas Fullkrug, Michail Antonio and Jarrod Bowen on the sidelines, he cannot continue without a recognised consistent goalscorer.
The boss has made Brighton forward Evan Ferguson his first-choice transfer target [talkSPORT] – hopefully the 20-year-old is the man to fire West Ham up the Premier League table.
