West Ham United must take advantage of Watford financial situation to secure double signing
Watford are looking to reduce their wage bill by 30% for their upcoming Championship campaign – and that could open the door for West Ham to bring Ismaila Sarr and Emmanuel Dennis to the London Stadium.
The Athletic reported on 4 July that Watford are looking to offload as many as 18 players, including Sarr and Dennis if suitable bids come in for the duo.
It had been reported by The Athletic [10 June] that West Ham had indicated their intent to pay up to £20million for Dennis.
Furthermore, it was reported by The Mirror (print edition June 12th, page 72), that 24-year-old Sarr could be available for £25million this summer.
With news of Watford looking to cut their wage bill, it presents the perfect chance for David Moyes to find some of the value he is desperately searching for in the transfer window.
The Hornets could well be inclined to cash in on the pair for slightly less than what they are actually worth.
Both players would add some much-needed attacking depth for Moyes to utilise.

The duo have a good amount of Premier League experience considering they’re yet to enter the prime of their careers.
The Athletic’s Adam Leventhal reported on 5 July that both players haven’t travelled on Watford’s preseason tour to Austria, as doubts continue to grow over their futures.
Moyes must act fast if he wants to secure the Watford duo, with other clubs likely to be fully aware of the Hornets’ current situation.
The Hammers haven’t acted quickly in the market thus far, it is certainly time for that to change.
