West Ham United must react to Manchester United contract offer to Christian Eriksen
Manchester United have reportedly made a contract offer to Christian Eriksen – and if true, West Ham must react with one of their own to the free agent.
The Daily Star revealed on 7 June that West Ham had sent scouts to watch the 30-year-old Denmark international.
However, the Hammers must act fast after it was claimed by The Athletic on Tuesday 14 June that Manchester United have offered Eriksen a contract.
David Moyes must react to the news of the offer from Manchester United with the midfielder possessing a “world-class” quality that would transform his side.
The Dane’s spell at Brentford displayed that the 30-year-old still has the ability to perform at the highest level after suffering a cardiac arrest in the European Championships in the summer of 2021.
Eriksen would also provide a good level of experience in the West Ham midfield, which could benefit some of West Ham’s younger players.
The Dane’s dead ball ability would thrive at the London Stadium with the Hammers’ set-piece prowess proving a fruitful attacking outlet in the 2021/22 season.

Wages could well prove to be an issue for the Irons in this deal with Manchester United likely to be able to trump any potential contract offer from the Hammers.
If West Ham decide to pursue a move for Jesse Lingard instead of Eriksen then something is seriously wrong at the London Stadium.
Moyes would be far better going for an attacking midfielder who has performed at the highest level for a number of years as opposed to the Manchester United man who spent large parts of last season on the bench.
