West Ham United must blow Napoli out of the water to sign Gerard Deulofeu

West Ham should be looking to bolster their attacking midfield options among other priorities.

Andriy Yarmolenko is set to leave following the expiry of his contract, while Said Benrahma could be facing an uncertain future at the club.

Ideally, David Moyes should look for someone who can play across all positions upfront, and has got prior Premier League experience.

With that in mind, it’s perfect time to launch a late bid for Udinese winger Gerard Deulofeu.

Late, yes, because, the Spanish winger is now close to joining Napoli.

The Serie A club are confident of reaching an agreement for the player, thought to be between £12.8million and £13.7million.

According to Calciomercato on 4 June, Napoli are pushing hard to sign the Spaniard and have already seen one bid for him rejected.

It is understood that Napoli are now readying a new bid worth up to £13.7million with the player “already given the go-ahead for the transfer”.

On 29 March, ExWHUEmployee reported on his Patreon that Moyes is an admirer of the Spanish winger, and that the player is open to a move to the Premier League, having previously enjoyed fantastic spells at Everton and Watford.

However, in April, Express journalist Paul Brown shared that the winger is not high in Moyes’s top list, but certainly there’s an interest.

It’s high time to reignite the interest and make a late move to snatch a deal for the player.

Deulofeu scored 13 goals and provided five assists in Serie A last season, and he would be a fabulous addition to the side.

Capable of producing moments of brilliance, he could have a reliable option upfront alongside Jarrod Bowen. A versatile forward who is playing at the peak of his form, and available at decent price, would be perfect for the club.
